“Who Do You Think You Are?” Revisited

Many of you may remember NBC’s recent television series entitled, “Who Do You Think You Are?”  This captivating series dove back into America’s history to find the family heritage of seven celebrities with very different backgrounds.  With the help of genealogists, the likes of Lisa Kudrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Spike Lee and many more discovered the touching and courageous stories of their own ancestors.  Accused witches, battlefields and even royalty highlight the events in the histories of these seven featured celebrities.

ProGenealogists was thrilled with our experiences participating in some of the research for the first season.  If you missed our posts about our research on some of the episodes, you can take a look here.

If you missed out on the action the episodes are still available to watch on NBC.com as well as on Hulu.  A rebroadcast of the series on NBC will begin August 13th 8/7c.  In watching these series, one cannot help but feel a draw to one’s own heritage.  Guaranteed that many, if not most, have just as fascinating a history as these stars.  What are the stories that make up who you are?  This series will definitely make you want to know!
